A tired looking hotel in a stunning rural setting with big ambitions to cater for the local community whilst also drawing in guests from further afield wanting to benefit from the amazing location, décor, food and first-class service. It will be THE place to go whether that is for a bite to eat as you walk or cycle past taking in the stunning scenery or calling in for a cocktail (or few), fine dining or to celebrate an event in the restaurant, one of the 2 private dining rooms or the function room. The theme running throughout the designs and menu creation has been "I was not expecting that!"
The hotel is now taking bookings for overnight stays and functions and the restaurant and cafe extension is open and receiving amazing feedback. The above images are just a taster of what to expect. It is definitely a venue you need to visit to fully appreciate the hard work that has gone into transforming it.
Working closely with the client, architect and wider team it was important to ensure the “I was not expecting that” resonated throughout the designs for the hotel, restaurant, private dining areas, function room and newly built café.
The hotel has undergone a complete transformation with every room being brought up to date, walls moved to make more desirable spaces, areas reconfigured and added to. Services included special planning, developing overarching design concepts followed by detailed design concepts for the whole property, specifying products and supporting the procurement process.
The designs are bold, and each space has its own identity whilst working cohesively and is getting some great write-ups
